June 15-19 Orange Beach, AL

2020 THEME No one wants to be afraid, to feel anxious, or nervous. We believe the lies and fears that the enemy seeks to instill in our lives. We walk into our schools, turn on the news, or talk to our friends, and leave feeling unsteady. But fear does not have to be the defining characteristic of our lives. The voice of the enemy does not have to overpower the voice of our Victor, Jesus. Jesus has erased the need for all fear and blocks out the sometimes overwhelming voice of the enemy. At Student Life Camp 2020, students will learn that while the opponent is great, our God is greater. He was and is a God of kept promises, who has good plans for us. He is our stronghold in the midst of weakness, taking our hands in the face of uncertainty, and pushing us toward courage, pushing us to take heart.
This year well be back staying at the much loved Gulf Shores Beach Retreat, located directly across the street from the beach! We'll have our own pool, sand volleyball court, and basketball court. We're taking our own cooks...so you know the food is gonna be great!
Each morning after breakfast we'll load up and head to the convention center where we'll join with hundreds of other students for some fantastic music, drama, games, and a challenge from God's word. The camp pastor for the week is Ed Newton of Community Bible Church in San Antonio and CBC Worship will be leading the times of worship. We'll have lunch and small groups back at the retreat center then FREE TIME on the BEACH till dinner! After dinner we'll head back to the convention center for a more focused time in God's word together. ...Yes, we'll prolly go back out on the beach...:)

HOW MUCH: This year camp is $310* for each camper, this covers meals at the retreat center, all fees and registrations, and a t-shirt. Each person will be responsible for all of their travel meals and any 'fun money' they might need. If you have friends who do not attend church ANYWHERE, please invite them...we have a very special price (discuss with Peter). However, if a student from our community is a member at a local church their price will be about $375. (This is for a couple of reasons: I don't want to provide an option for summer camp that will deter them from attending camp with their student ministry and the off-set in price is based some on the FSBC StuMin budget and generosity of scholarships received.)
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Every camper is responsible a $50 deposit to hold their spot. Deposits and Payment can be made in one of three ways: paid online (to be posted soon), by cash or check and placed in the metal box on Wed or Sun or in the church office Mon-Thurs. Sunday, March 29th is the DEADLINE to sign up or drop. After March 29, all deposits become non-refundable. Full payment is due by May 17.
SOME FORMS YOU'LL NEED TO TURN IN: Everyone needs to turn in the Student Life Waiver and Release (these will be posted online and also in the Gym) a second for many need to be completed by some as well, an FSBC Medical Release Form.
