Does it matter?

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

This last Wednesday night we continued talking about being a Difference Maker, particularly from Mark 2 and how the four friends mentioned made a huge difference in their friend's life.  How cool would it be to be that instrumental in seeing a life changed.
The passage above is a huge reminder on we can control our mind.  It's been said by many that 'leadership is influence', our lives influence other...constantly, either for good or for evil.  If you are going to be a difference maker, you will influence others.  Read the passage again and when you do, ask yourself some of these questions:
  1. If I publicly rejoiced more often, what difference could that make in others lives?
  2. Is my anxiousness about ________________ getting in the way of my rejoicing?  What do I need to do about it?
  3. In verse 8 there are several 'whatevers' listed, which of these do I find easier or more difficult to 'think about'?
